Chipotle has designated Wednesday, November 28 as a Day of Giving to The American Heart Association

Be A Heart Walk Hero
Founders Affiliate is excited to announce that Chipotle has signed on as our most recent affiliate-wide Life Is Why We Give™ supporter. The American Heart Association is working to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to live their best life. Life Is Why We Give™ allows consumers to think about their own personal reasons to live healthier, longer lives — and to give in honor of those reasons.

Chipotle has designated Wednesday, November 28 as a Day of Giving. On this day, for anyone who purchases food at a participating Chipotle and mentions the American Heart Association, 33% of the purchase price will be donated to the American Heart Association. Additionally, businesses can also contribute when they order meals from Chipotle’s catering menu. Catering orders require 24 hours or more advanced notice when calling 1–800–CHIPOTLE, and must specify that they will pay in store, and mention the American Heart Association fundraiser to the cashier before they pay at pick-up on November 28.

Remember, no matter where and when we elect to dine, healthy eating starts with healthy food choices. We should always limit foods and beverages high in calories but low in nutrients. The AHA also recommendslimiting our intake of saturated, trans fat and added sugars and keeping sodium consumption to no more than 2,300 milligrams daily. You can use Chipotle’s nutrition calculator, https://www.chipotle.com/nutrition-calculator, to put together some heart-healthy meal options while supporting the fundraising event

Heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases claim the lives of 17.5 million people around the world each year. We count on support from you--and our Life Is Why We Give companies—to keep more hearts beating and more brains healthy. Life…life is why.

Dear People,

#GivingTuesday is tomorrow, and your donation is still needed to help fight back against heart disease and stroke. We still have work to do, and so many people are counting on your support.

Be the next supporter from your community to fight back against these terrible diseases and help us reach our goal of 2,300 donations. Since each gift represents one of the loved ones we lose to cardiovascular disease every day, don't wait another 24 hours to give your life-saving gift. Donate now.

Through your support of HeartWalk this year, we're able to fund scientific studies that build on a legacy of success that includes breakthroughs like the artificial heart valve and drug-coated stents. We've made real powerful progress, together – and saved countless lives.

But, as long as we continue to lose the people we love – especially at a rate of 2,300 a day – we must do more to help! Give your #GivingTuesday gift today to give more families hope for longer, healthier lives together.
