DONATE HEALTHY FOOD NOT STUFF YOU WOULDN'T EAT!

Millions of U.S. households are uncertain of having, or unable to acquire, enough food to meet their family's needs. Food insecurity can sometimes lead to unhealthy choices. When you donate to your local food drive this holiday season, give heart-healthy staples like low-sodium canned vegetables or canned fruits in water. Canned chicken and tuna in water or whole-grain pastas, brown rice and other easy-to-make whole grains like bulgur, couscous and quinoa are good choices, too.
